CIRCA 1880, PRINTED MARKS, AND RETAILER'S MARKS FOR WILLIAM WHITELY
Painted with two broad turquoise bands and printed and gilt with hanging pendants and diamond-pattern, within gilt-lined rims, comprising:
two tureens and covers in sizes moulded with elephant handles and a stand (the stand cracked)
an oval vegetable dish and cover with elephant handles
a small sauce tureen, cover and stand
an additional small cover
seven oval serving-dishes in sizes
an oval meat-platter
sixteen soup-plates
nineteen dinner-plates
and twenty-five luncheon-plates (some minor chipping and rubbing generally)
