CIRCA 1730, BLUE CORSSED SWORDS MARKS WITHIN CONCENTRIC CIRCLES, PAINTER'S MARK S. AND DREHER'S X TO FOOTRIM OF SAUCER
Painted in underglaze-blue with the Fels und Vogel pattern within an egg-and-dart pattern border, the richly-gilt ground probably applied in the Augsburg workshop of Bartholomäus Seuter and chased with tightly packed flowers, the well of the saucer reserved with a band of scrolls and beaded C-scrolls (slight wear to centre of saucer, minute areas of wear to rim of teabowl and interior)
