The gilt case with unusual pierced and engraved cock and foot to the edge of the top plate, the cock having a pierced and engraved silver design inserted into the table, silver regulator disk with a gilt snake indicating the regulation position, square baluster pillars, chain fusee, verge escapement, the silver champlevé dial with engraved and blacked Roman numerals, diamond half-hour marks, outer Arabic five-minute divisions, blued steel beetle and poker hands, the centre field embossed with cartouche and maker's signature, in plain inner and outer cases, square hinges and split bezel
