The boxwood line-inlaid case with architectural pediment, glazed sides and concave moulded base, finely cast gilt-brass rope twist and trellis decorated bezel to the dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, signed Jacob Zach in Wein on a plaque in the finely matted centre, blued steel beetle and poker hands, strike/silent lever by chapter I, the movement of fine quality with thick circular brass plates secured by four conical brass pillars, three trains with brass-cased weights, going train with deadbeat escapement with steel and brass rod gridiron pendulum, the quarters and hours struck on two blued steel gongs of circular section mounted to the seatboard
