Each with white-marble top above a palm-swagged frieze centred by a sun flower, on eagle's head monopodia, joined by crossed arrows centred by foliate-patterned roundels, one marble top replaced, redecorated, both with 'EBBUTT'S (CROYDON) LTD.' depository label

拍品專文

The tables are conceived as antique altars with Grecian palm-flowered friezes. Their fluted pillars incorporate eagle-heads and lion-feet evoking the chimerical griffin sacred to Apollo and are joined by trophies of the hunter-deity's arrows.
