The hood with outset reeded columns, with conforming pilasters flanking the trunk, above plinth with panel and canted angles, the 12¾ in. square cut-away brass dial with foliate spandrels to Roman and Arabic chapter ring with dot minute track and inner concentric date ring, hatch and scroll engraved matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring and brass plaque signed E.
