A Shin-shinto Tanto in Mounts
Meiji period (late 19th century), signed Sanshu Kariya ju Kanju saku and dated Meiji sannen hachigatsu no hi (A day in the eighth month of 1870)
Kanmuriotoshi-zukuri, iori-mune with slight uchizori forged in masame with ko-nie, the tempered edge choji gunome of nioi, ji-nie with ashi and a long turnback at the tip, both sides carved with naginata hi, the tang ubu with one hole and sujikai file marks, silvered copper single habaki, 25cm. long; motohaba 2.6cm.

The koshirae comprising a wood saya with snakes emerging from the interior in soft-metals, the tsuka with a centipede, the kojiri, fuchi-kashira and tsuba shibuichi migaki-ji with blossoming flowers in gold and shakudo takazogan, the kozuka with a frog and slug in copper and shibuichi takazogan
