Cal. 17''' gilt-finished jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, micrometer regulator, wolf's tooth winding, gold cuvette, the two-tone silvered sector dial with black enamel baton and Arabic numerals, outer five minute divisions, blued steel moon-style hands, sweep centre seconds, in circular case with engraved inscription H.L. 1896 - 1940 to the hinged back, case, cuvette, dial and movement signed

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial and black enamel hour markers in 1928 and its subsequent sale on 8 January 1938.

The present watch is thought to be part of a series of less than 10 pocketwatches with sweep centre seconds made by Patek Philippe to appear in public to date. It is furthermore the first time that it is offered at auction.
