A BELGIAN COMBINED PERCUSSION SINGLE-SHOT PISTOL AND WALKING STICK; AND ANOTHER, DUMONTHIER PATENT
Each second half of the 19th Century
The first with static swamped barrel inlaid with a silver line at both ends, fitted with small nipple for horizontal striking, rounded action with capping port, folding trigger, three-stage wooden grip, horn pommel impaled by the concealed cocking-bar, and figured hardwood cane (cracked at the mouth), Liège proof; the second with short turn-off barrel encased within the grip and pommel, of ebony and ivory respectively, fitted with nipple for horizonal striking, ebonised cane incorporating the signed brass action and folding trigger, and with flick-stiletto blade concealed within the opposing end, Liège proof.
