TWO FRENCH PERCUSSION MODEL 1836 GENDARMERIE OFFICER'S PISTOLS
circa 1862
One pistol dated 1862, the configuration and markings identical in all other respects, each with 5 1/8in sighted two-stage barrel with microgroove rifled bore, Poncharra type lock inscribed 'Mre Impale de Châtellerault', figured walnut half-stock, iron mounts including hinged butt-trap cover, and original ramrod.
