8o (149 x 95 mm). Each page surrounded by woodcut border. (Some worming at beginning and end.) Contemporary Saxonian "Platten-Einband" of calf over thin wooden boards, sides almost entirely filled by a richly ornamented blind-stamped "plate" design, hand painted in green, red, yellow and gold, corners and center inlaid with a small square piece of mirror glass, spine in six compartments, gilt and gauffered edges, remnants of silk ties (rubbing to upper cover with central mirror missing). Provenance: purchased from L'Art Ancien, 26 November 1959.

This is confirmed by the glass-inlays and I have found only one other such binding with inlays, at the Library of the Germanisches Museum of Nuremberg..."
