In the style of Thomas Cole, retailed by Phillips Brothers, London. Circa 1860
The silvered dial with painted Roman chapters with blued steel fleur-de-lys hands, the centre engraved with fruit and foliage, within a gilt mask engraved with a spray of flowers, the movement with going barrel and four wheel train with lever escapement and three-arm steel balance, the well engraved case with swivel stand in the base and folding easel stand to the rear cover further engraved with a profusion of flowers and with retail signature Phillips Brothers 31 Cockspur Strt. London flanking the escapement viewing slide
