Sugata [configuration]: hirazukuri iorimune of thick kasane and slight uchizori
Kitae [forging pattern]: tight ko itame with jinie and shirake utsuri
Hamon [tempering pattern]: suguha with fushi and gunome ashi, some tobiyaki and muneyaki
Boshi [tip]: komaru
Nakago [tang]: slightly suriage, Nakago jiri is kiri, yasurime very slightly katte sagari, with three holes
Habaki [collar]: gold covered
Nagasa [length of blade from tip to beginning of tang]: 22.6cm
Koshirae [mounting]: in shirasaya with a sayagaki by Hon'ami Koson and an aikuchi koshirae with a black lacquer saya and tsuka with clouds of gold mura-nashiji and flying cranes in various shades of gold makie, shakudo migakiji fuchi-kashira with egrets among grasses in gold and silver takazogan, gold mekugi functions as menuki and are of oxen, lacquer koiguchi is gold migakiji with silver birds applied in high relief, the kurikata is set on a silver plate with flying birds sculpted in high relief, shibuichi kozuka in the form of bamboo with leaves in gilt and a silver plum blossom in takazogan fitting into its socket terminating in a silver kanamono of a goose flying across the moon, the shibuichi kojiri has a farmer planting rice seedlings inlaid in iroe takazogan, 19th century.
