A Regency mahogany, part-ebonised and brass-mounted quarter-chiming table clock, circa 1820
The case with brass pineapple finial to chamfer top, cornucopia and loop handles above fishscale sound frets, ripple mouldings to top and bottom, brass-lined fielded panels to the front, on brass ball feet, the white painted Roman dial signed J & A McNab/PERTH, with strike/silent lever above XII, pierced gilt-brass hands, the eight day triple chain fusee movement with six pillars, anchor escapement, strike/trip repeat on bell and quarter chimes on eight bells, repeat signature to back plate with pendulum holdfast -- 20¼ in.
