The case with silk-backed basket top, swag mounts to front and above the glazed side panels, on bun feet, the 7 in. square brass dial with mask and foliate spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half hour markers and diamond half quarter hour markers, signed Nathaniel Hodges/LONDON, matted centre with date aperture, blued steel hands, the eight day twin wire fusee movement with five ringed pillars, verge escapement, strike/trip repeat on bell, countwheel positioned on back plate with engraved lower and side borders, also signed Nathaniel/Hodges/LONDON/Fecit; case associated to movement and dial, alterations -- 14¾ in. (37.5 cm.) high, handle down; case key
