Jonathan Sisson succeeded by his son Jeremiah worked in The Sphere, Corner of Beaufort Buildings, Strand, London from 1722 to 1783. It is most likely that Jonathon, the father, was the manufacturer of this instrument as he sold surveying instruments whereas his son concentrated on barometers, micrometers and mural quadrants.
