A RARE GERMAN LATE GOTHIC MACE
Circa 1500
With hexagonal head with button finial and formed with six flanges each thickening toward a robust point, each pierced with a trefoil and cut with Gothic crockets along the lower half, long tubular hexagonal haft widening towards the base, a moulded collar at both ends, spirally moulded grip bound with brass wire, and capped by an iron basal disc engraved with a Gothic spiral of leaves.
