The breakarch hood with inset columns and glazed side doors, with astragal- and bevel-glazed front door, on panelled plinth, the 13½ in. wide brass dial with foliate spandrels to silvered and arcaded Roman and Arabic chapter ring, matted centre with recessed seconds disc, engraving around the winding holes, with sectors for month and day with corresponding deities and zodiacal symbols, chime/silent lever by 45, subsidiary rings above for chime/silent and Westminster/Whittington selection, the arch with painted rolling moon within an engraved border, the eight day movement with dead beat escapement, quarter chimes on eight tubular bells via 9 in. pinned cylinder and hour strike on further tubular bell -- 97½ in.
