A Regency brass-mounted mahogany timepiece with alarm, early 19th Century
The case with brass handle to arched top, brass fish scale frets to the sides, brass-lined front door and on brass ball feet, the engraved and silvered dial signed WOOD/KENT ROAD, blued steel hands, with unusual alarm selection sector to the arch above, inscribed ALARM, the eight day four pillar movement with single wire fusee, with verge escapement, pull wind alarm to the back plate with strike on bell via double-headed hammer -- 15 in. (38 cm.) high, handle down; key, case key
