The breakarch hood with outset columns, moulded frame to trunk door, above shortened plinth, the 13 in. wide brass dial with engraved border, bird and urn spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half hour markers and diamond half quarter markers, matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring, arched signature plaque Dan.l Fowler London, date aperture, the arch with strike/silent ring, the eight day movement with five ringed pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on bell, with later quarter chimes on eight bells, movement and case with alterations, probably associated, second quarter 18th century -- 82¼ in.
