Lot Essay

Lawson was a flower artist who exhibited at the Royal Academy and the New Watercolour Society between 1880 and 1892. She was married to the landscape painter Cecil Gordon Lawson (1851-1882) whose career was cut short by his early death at the age of thirty-one.
