Kirchner's brief text provides instructions on the preparation and preservation of wine in a series of practical headings, including 'Wan ein wein gebrochen Ist', 'Wan ein wein schimmlet', 'So ein wein schon weyß Ist', 'Wan ein wein kein farb hat', 'Wann man wein kauffen und probieren will', and so forth.
