Lot Essay

The present watch beautifully illustrates the elegance of the Art Deco style, a movement which lasted from 1910 until 1939. The design was purely decorative and at the time seen as elegant, functional, and ultra modern.

In 1850, on the occasion of a meeting between the craftsmen and brothers Marc and Emmanuel Didisheim and an American collector, the "MARVIN" watch brand was born. The manufacture was located in St-Imier, the main sales market though the United States of America.
