This manuscript is authenticated by Muhammad Assad al-Yasari, a well known 18th century Ottoman scribe, as being the work of Mir 'Imad al-Hasani.
'Imad al-Mulk Muhammad ibn Husayn al-Safi al-Hasani is known for his mastery of nasta'liq and for his prolific output. He was born circa AH 958/1551-52 AD in Qazvin, then the capital of Iran, and entered the atelier of 'Abbas II. He was killed in AH 1024/1615-16 AD as a result of court intrigue, but left behind an immense volume of work. The nasta'liq hand in the present manuscript is very good, making the attribution totally credible.
