Gouache heightened with gold on paper, Bahram, wearing green robes kneels on a pink carpet on a terrace reading whilst before him kneel a group of women clad in bright robes, three figures peer on from the left, beyond the terrace dense foliage, and above seven brightly coloured domes, four columns of elegant black nasta'liq with gold and pink intercolumnar divisions, mounted on white card, some flaking and fading of paint
