Persian manuscript on paper, 177ff. plus one fly-leaf, each folio with 12ll. of black nasta'liq arranged in two columns with gold double intercolumnar rules, margins ruled in blue and gold, catchwords, headings in blue, opening bifolio with fine gold and polychrome illumination, five miniatures, some repairs and waterstaining mainly restricted to the margins, contemporary Safavid binding with stamped gilt central panels decorated with floral arabesques and cloudbands, doublures of red morocco with découpé central medallion and spandrels with cobalt ground and gilt stamped borders
Text panel 5¼ x 2 3/8in. (13.5 x 5.7cm.); folio 8½ x 5in. (21.6 x 12.6cm.)
