A soft-metal dish and an inlaid-bronze vase
Meiji period (circa 1900), the dish and vase both sealed Jomi sei [Jomi Eisuke II, active 1880-1910]
The dish inlaid in gold, silver and copper takazogan and hirazogan, with a grasshopper and small butterfly in a central roundel surrounded by three further fan, heart and paper-shaped panels inlaid with foliage on a stippled ground; the ovoid vase inlaid with butterflies in gold, silver, shibuichi and copper takazogan and hirazogan
