Composition and brass bound with two latches either side of a central lock, with wooden laths to the top and front, leather handles and the monogram 'F.V.B' in red to either end, the interior lined in linen and satin with padded and ribboned lid, with two removable trays

The lock stamped 'LOUIS VUITTON, MADE IN FRANCE' and numbered 107241, the interior with gold paper label printed 'LOUIS VUITTON, PARIS, 70 CHAMPS-ÉLYSÉES, 149 NEW-BOND ST. LONDON, NICE, CANNES, VICHY and numbered 818(?)972, with gold 'SAKS & COMPANY' label
