With blued nitro Belgian replacement chopperlump barrels signed 'J. PURDEY & SONS. AUDLEY HOUSE. SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON. MADE OF SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID PRESSED STEEL' and numbered '1' on the rib, and signed 'SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID PRESSED STEEL' along with two Whitworth trade mark stamps on the underside, 2¾in. (70mm) chambers, bored approx. ¼ choke and imp. cyl., case-hardened action with carved percussion fences, case-hardened locks each signed 'J. PURDEY & SONS' and with rebounding dolphin hammers, reblued trigger-guard, best fine bouquet and scroll engraving, well figured 14¾in. (37.5cm.) stock including 1½in. (3.8cm.) leather-covered padded extension, in a fitted leather case with Dixon shot-measure
