SAN'A, YEMEN, DATED THURSDAY 15 SAFAR AH 1033/8 DECEMBER 1623 AD, AND AL-IHSA, SAUDI ARABIA, DATED 4 JUMADA II AH 1151/19 SEPTEMBER 1738 AD
The first a holograph work titled Jadwal al-zij al-fa'iq, Arabic manuscript on paper, 15ff. plus two modern fly-leaves, each folio with a large table marked in red and black naskh script, some folios with extensive marginal comments, opening folio with copious notes, first folio and colophon with name of the author and scribe Salah bin Qasim bin Muhammad bin Hassan bin 'Anqub al-Harithi al-San'ani al-Sa'di, both folios dated, staining throughout the manuscript, in marbled paper covered red morocco binding, the second a work titled Kitab sulm al-'uruj ila 'ilm al-manazil wa al-buruj, a summary of Ibn al-Shatir's (d. 1375 AD) Zij by Muhammad bin 'Abd al-Rahman bin Husayn Ibn 'Afalij al-Ihsa'i al-Najdi al-Hanbali, Arabic manuscript on paper, 19ff. plus two modern fly-leaves, each folio with red tables with red and black naskh script, the first three folios with 28ll. of black naskh script each, colophon signed Muhsin bin Sultan Ibn Muqbil al-Najdi al-Hanbali and dated, later pagination, in modern stamped binding
