Warhol had a deep and well-documented fascination with Truman Capote that changed over the course of his lifetime when their paths continually crossed. After decades of one-way admiration, by the 1970s Warhol famously traded a portrait of Capote for a year's worth of columns for Warhol's magazine, Interview.
