A BLUE AND WHITE 'EQUESTRIAN' CHARGER
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The well is decorated with two warriors on horseback in battle. The cavetto is painted with cartouches enclosing further equestrian soldiers. The reverse is embellished with panels of ruyi heads below floral sprigs encircling the rim. The base has an apocryphal underglaze blue six-character Chenghua mark within a double circle.
