A HEXAGONAL YIXING TEAPOT AND COVER
18TH CENTURY
The teapot is modelled with upright overhead handle and S-curved spout. Two of the sides are modelled with a branch of peony, whereas the short side is modelled with a phoenix roundel. The shoulder is moulded with two chilong and the hexagonal cover with two phoenix. The cover and handle are mounted with a gilt-metal chain.
