A LARGE DEHUA FIGURE OF GUANYIN
18TH CENTURY
The goddess is modelled standing on a base of swirling waves, wearing long flowing robes, her hair in a high chignon and adorned with flowers. Her face has a serene expression. Her right hand supports the left holding a square cup. There is a four-character seal mark to the reverse reading Bo ji yu ren that may be translated as "Virtue extends even to fishermen".
