A SMALL GILT-BRONZE ARCHAISTIC CENSER
17TH/18TH CENTURY
Cast with taotie masks on each side of the body, the gui-form censer has a pair of dragon-form handles. Together with a bronze archaistic bird-form vessel, zun, cast as a phoenix carrying a vase on its back, and supported on twin spoked wheels.
Gui 4 in. (10.1 cm.) wide, zun 3½ in. (8.2 cm.) high (2)
