The paintings include:
1. The white-haired Zai and Rudabeh conversing on a terrace
2. Bizhan kills Mahuy to avenge Yazdegerd (signed Ghulam Mustafa)
3. The captive Zahhak brought in front of Faridun
4. Nariman killing the Khaqan of Chin in battle (signed Ghulam Mustafa)
5. Khusraw Parviz enthroned (signed Ghulam Mustafa)
6. Bahram Chubina enthroned (signed Ghulam Mustafa)
7. Manucher, son of Iraj, enthroned below a canopy
8. Afrasiyab kills his brother Aghrirath
These paintings originate from a workshop which had no shortage of materials which is illustrated by the range of colours used together with a large quantity of gold pigment. A Kulliyat of Sa’di in the Chester Beatty Library has very similar illustrations which Linda Leach attributes to early 19th Century Delhi, ((Linda York Leach, Mughal and other Indian Paintings from the Chester Beatty Library, London, 1995, no. 8.23, p. 805).
