Hira Singh (1816-1844) was the son of Raja Dhian Singh of Jammu and the nephew of Gulab Singh, the first Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir. Although a Dogra by birth, he was an important member of the sikh court due to Dogra-Sikh alliances. He would eventually become the prime minister to Dalip Singh in Lahore (1843-44).
