With single-edged pipe-backed blade double-edged towards the point and etched on each side with a crowned 'GR IV' cypher, the crossed sword and baton, and the maker's signature, gilt-brass 'gothic' hilt with pierced crowned crossed sword and baton, original wire-bound shagreen-covered grip, and original steel scabbard
