Oblong 8° (155 x 220mm). Engraved title, dedicatory emblem to Alfonso II Duke of Ferrara and 49 (of 52) emblems and 50 (of 52) caption leaves with stanzas by Dolce within Renaissance borders. (Occasional soiling and spotting, one leaf remargined.) Contemporary limp vellum (some soiling and staining, front cover lightly bowed, lacking ties.) Provenance: Monteventi Bolognese (ownership inscription) -- A.H. Bright (booklabel).
