4 parts in one volume bound in 2, 4° (202 x 154mm). Part-titles. Title within ornate architectural woodcut border with central Plantin device, woodcut head- and tailpieces and initials, engraved portrait. (Title just touched by the binder, r3-4 misbound after r5-6, some variable light spotting and staining, more heavily affecting a few quires at the beginning of book 1 and at the end of book 3. 19th-century polished calf by Roger de Coverly, covers panelled with gilt borders and central gilt losenge. marbled end-papers, gilt edges. Provenance: lengthy annotation in an early hand on blank verso of last leaf in second volume -- S.A. Thompson Yates (bookplate).
