The round shallow dish decorated in polychrome enamels with a long-tailed bird perched on a pine branch, framed by three square bands with geometric design on a green ground with stylized cloud design, the underside decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with Fuku mark and overglaze polychrome enamels with scrolling flowers

An accompanying note written in pencil by a former owner (H. E. W.) states that the dish was from the collection of John D. Rockefeller, Jr. (1874–1960) and acquired from Yamanaka & Company, Boston in 1939 for $130.
