POSSIBLY PALACE WORKSHOPS, BEIJING, 1750-1820
The transparent ruby-red overlay is carved through to the transparent, bubble-suffused ground with a continuous scene of a scholar riding a donkey over a bridge, followed by a young attendant, with pine trees and bamboo framing the scene and further bamboo and a bridge on the other side.
2 7/8 in. (7.2 cm.) high, lapis stopper with glass finial
