IMPERIAL, JINGDEZHEN KILNS, JIAQING SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN IRON-RED WITHIN A DOUBLE SQUARE AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)

The inscription is an article written by Zhu Bolu (Zhu Zi [1627-1698]), a Ming dynasty scholar. It was meant as instructions to his own descendants, but has become a guide for further generations of Chinese in their conduct at home, at the workplace, and in society.
