A PAIR OF HUANGHUALI 'SOUTHERN OFFICIAL'S HAT' ARMCHAIRS, NANGUANMAOYI

The stepped top rail is supported on continuous posts which form the rear legs. The plain rectangular splat is gently curved. The arms are supported by curved front posts, above rectangular frames enclosing stretched woven seats. The rounded legs are joined by straight aprons above stretchers and foot rests.
