Oscar Acciaioly, Madeira Terrantez Special Reserve 1832
Madeira
Slightly stained and slightly damaged label. Level: into-neck
Tasting note: June 2017 on Madeira. Beautiful orange color with yellow rim. very nicely perfumed nose of straw and peach fruit, followed by high toned alcohol tone. Well concentrated taste of full fruits, slight bitter on the final. Very different from the 1860 Torra Bella Terrantez, soft fudge on the taste, floral tones with pretty grapefruit bitter on the after taste. Quite deep and concentrated, long cask aged. Very very good. So many things going on, multi layered.
More recently. Refined banana leaf aroma. Subtle. Gently perfumed. Fairly rich start of taste. Beautiful texture. Aromas of fudge on the after taste. Very elegant and deep. Great. In line with previous notes. Last tasted January 2020. Edwin Vos
