the pagoda case with flambeau urn finial to the cupola top with trellis mounts, conforming finials to the breakfront angles, foliate-pierced arched sound frets to the sides and rear door, on inverted breakfront base with foliate cast scroll feet, the brass dial with silvered chime/silent ring to the arch, gilt-brass foliate spandrels to the silvered Roman chapter ring, matted centre, the triple fusee movement with anchor escapement, chimes on eight bells and four gongs, with hour strike on further gong, pendulum holdfast to backplate -- 18¾in. (47.5cm.) high
