the case with pagoda hood centred by a fret-carved panel and with brass ball and spire finials, outset brass stop-fluted columns and glazed panels to the sides, conforming three-quarter pilasters to the breakarch trunk door, the stepped plinth with quatrefoil panel and on bracket feet with wavy skirting, the engraved and silvered dial signed Franc.s Linderby LONDON in the arch, with seconds and date rings to the centre, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; possibly associated -- 97½in. (248cm.) high
