A 12-inch (30.5cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe, made up of twelve hand coloured engraved gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial graduated in degrees and hours (in Roman numerals), the ecliptic graduated in days and showing the symbols of the houses of the zodiac, the countries coloured and outlined, the oceans showing the voyages of Captain Cook, Captain Ross, Captain Gore, Captain Biscoe and Captain Clarke, AN IMPROVED ANALEMMA and other features (e.g. Submarine Volcano), the Antarctic with partial coastline (some neat restoration, revarnished), brass meridian ring divided into four quadrants with hour ring (ungraduated), on horizon ring with hand coloured engraved label divided into four quadrants (clockwise and anticlockwise), the houses of the zodiac named and their symbols, and the stars shown, the months named (some neat restoration), on mahogany tripod stand, the turned legs united by stretchers -- 18in.
