Cloisonné enamel furniture is very rare. Cloisonné stools are seldom found but appear to have been more popular in the rounded barrel shape imitating porcelain. However, a pair of Kangxi square cloisonné stools from the Fonthill Heirlooms Collections was sold in our Hong Kong rooms, 28 April 1996, lot 20.
