A DEEPLY CARVED AND RETICULATED BAMBOO BRUSH POT
QING DYNASTY, 17TH/18TH CENTURY
Supported on three short tapering feet, the brush pot is pierced and carved in high relief depicting a continuous landscape with horsemen dressed in voluminous robes riding along a meandering path in a mountain amid wutong and pine trees, rocks and clouds. On one side there is an incised seal within a square reading Xian pan.
